I have been teaching at five different schools for a combined total of nearly 18 years . Helping students find the potential they didn’t realize they had is one of the greatest joys in life. I love seeing students do work that is even better than they ever thought they could do. I am nearly as proud of the great work my students have created as I am of my own.

Working at Windward Community College has given me the opportunity to work with students of every skill level imaginable. Some of my students have had no previous experience while others are masters of the craft. This strange and beautiful piece by Chris Edwards was made with impeccable craftsmanship.

This is a drawing done by a BYU-H student named Sarah Kawaguchi. Her attention to detail and light in this piece is really fun.

This fun birthday cake sculpture was made by Linda Hess. She has only been taking ceramics for a little over a year and she is already showing work in galleries. I see bright things in her future.

This is a picture of one of my high school students named Amanda Tanigawa next to a multimedia piece she did in an art 101 class she took from me. She had several pieces that she did in my classes selected to be displayed in shows.
